jHorn Joins WindStars 1

WindStars is excited to announce that jHorn student books are now available for WindStars 1. This program can build from previous recorder experiences or be used as a child's first introduction to wind instruments.

Customize your own WindStars 1 class set to include:

1. Dood instruments: Introduce single-reed instrument skills

2. Toot instruments: Introduce flute instrument skills

3. jHorn instruments: Introduce brass instrument skills

4. Instructional books

• Teacher book
• Student books (available in iconic or standard notation)

5. Optional accessories

• Desk stands / Spares kit

WindStars is a book based program with supporting materials such as instructional videos, backing tracks and printable files available as free downloads from the WindStars website: www.nuvo-windstars.com.

WindStars is a flexible pre-band and general music teaching method that can be adapted for any existing music program. 

WindStars 1 "Sound Before Sight": Encourages students to learn by ear as much as possible. Iconic notation is provided for simple introduction to notation. Students will use the NUVO Dood, Toot and jHorn instruments to explore their own musical creativity, develop fine and gross motor skills and proper playing techniques. Student Books are available in iconic and standard notation.
